Captain's Cove

For a time, my grandparents lived in Captain’s Cove, Virginia. Their house was in a clearing, north of the golf course in a large clearing. When we visited and I was around 8 or 9 years old, I remember our car broke through the trees into that clearing. The sun was beating down and climbing out onto the driveway of broken seashells made me feel like I had entered a different world entirely.
